A book with a love triangle

Book: Remember me?
Author: Sophie Kinsella
Number of pages: 285

I really wanted to read a 'light' book for a change and this seemed to be it: a cliche romance with a love triangle. Only what I didn't realize (stupid) was that a love triangle in books usually includes infidelity, which I do not like. At all. Of course, I could've seen this coming, because there are usually 3 people in a love triangle of which 2 already have an established relationship. Stupid, stupid. Anyway, the book is about Lexi who suffers from severe amnesia and can't remember anything of the last three years (very conveniently, she remembers everything perfectly up until the day of her father's funeral, which is coincidentally the day which explains the whole plot. Bit fishy). When she wakes up in the hospital she is not the average person she was 3 years ago, instead she is a successful businesswoman, married to the hottest multi-millionaire in London. How lovely. However, she soon finds out that her life isn't perfect at all (she does not develop feelings for super-hot and super-rich Eric) and that she was having an affair before her accident with good man Jon, who of course really understands her and also loves her even if she were the average woman of 3 years ago. Big surprise who she will choose in the end.. The disappointment for me mainly stems from the fact that the love triangle is based on infidelity. I mean, Twilight had a love triangle which (at least in New Moon) is not based on infidelity (Bella is just dumped by Edward, so who cares what she does?). And Twilight was a really crap story line. But arguably, I found the particular love triangle in the series (at least until Edward came back) a little more .. appropriate. So, about Remember me?: it is a nice enough read, but definitely not worth the money!
